Members of the Wadaiko Newark Taiko Group of Newark beat on their drums during a Sunday performance at the Haru Matsuri Spring Festival in Morgan Hill.

Area residents were treated to a beautiful Sunday filled with culture as the 57th Annual Morgan Hill Haru Matsuri Spring Festival and Taiko Expo went off without a hitch at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, which is located at 16450 Murphy Ave.
The free event was hosted by the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center and featured the San Jose Taiko Group.
Patrons were served up traditional cuisine such as chicken and beef teriyaki, Udon, sushi and Manju. They also were treated to performances by San Jose Taiko and Morgan Hill’s Sandoshin Taiko plus other Bay Area Taiko groups.
In addition, visitors roamed the grounds and viewed Asian crafts, artists and vendors, cultural displays and booths and farmers’ market.
