It’s not too early to think about a highly entertaining two-part Halloween celebration for the entire family – and help out some good causes.
Independence Day, Inc. and Morgan Hill Gymnastics Parents’ Club will present IDI’s 4th Annual Halloween Party – Family Franken Fest and a Monster Bash – on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the “haunted warehouse” at 16480 Railroad Ave., on the corner at Barrett Avenue, between Tennant and San Pedro avenues. Look for the 8-foot banner and oddly dressed people.
The Family Franken Fest parties from 3-8pm with a pasta dinner, 6-8pm– $10 each. Kids can visit a Haunted House and enjoy costume prizes, face painting, games and a raffle.
The grown-up Monster Bash rocks from 7:30pm-midnight, and will feature dancing to the live classic rock of The Usual Suspects, a Haunted House, costume prizes, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a no-host bar for $20 per person. Childcare/Little Ghouls party will be available on-site for $10 per child.
Advance ticket purchase by Oct. 22, includes a bonus drink ticket and a chance at a special raffle.
Proceeds will benefit IDI and all those free Fourth of July events, and the MHGPC, both non-profits.
Details and advanced tickets at BookSmart, 17415 Monterey Road at W. 2nd St. or 779-3387.
