Independence Day, Inc. – IDI and Morgan Hill Gymnastics Parents Club, Inc. – MHGPCI would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, volunteers, and community for the overwhelming support of our Family Franken Fest and Monster Bash held Oct. 30 at the Haunted Warehouse. The attendance exceeded 500 happy Halloween patrons.
The unique and successful partnering of these two organizations culminated into the South County’s Premier Halloween Event. Anyone who attended knows that it was the “event of the year” and not to be missed next October. We gratefully exceeded our goal.
These funds will benefit the advancement of South County gymnasts for training and competition expenses, as well as IDI, which so inspires patriotism in our community by subsidizing our local Fourth of July festivities.
Special recognition needs to be made to our “Celebrity Trike Racers” Dennis Kennedy, Greg Sellers, Kathy Sullivan, Larry Carr, Suzi Sellers, Daryl Manning and the winning team of Chad Chastain and Muni Fry. Of course, Chad couldn’t resist removing his shirt upon victory, which must run in the family.
Additionally, the dedication of “Team Halloween” cannot go unmentioned. This group of 30 extraordinarily dedicated individuals should be commended.
Phil Faulisi along with assistance from Janet Godard, Luis and Diana Fedalizo, and many volunteers created the frightful Haunted House The ‘Haunting’ experience will be remembered by many (especially, by those, who were so terrified, brought three walls down)
