That exciting time of year is approaching when students in
Morgan Hill, in the Morgan Hill School District and in private
schools in the area, will be graduating from high school and from
middle schools.

Live Oak High’s Class of 2004 will twitch their tassels to the other side of the mortar board on June 11, with a celebration at Richert Field.

Britton Middle and Martin Murphy Middle schools will have two promotion ceremonies this year, because next year’s ninth graders will be at either Live Oak High or the new Sobrato High.

Britton eight graders will say good-bye to middle school on June 10 at 2:30 p.m. on the west field, while ninth graders will celebrate their move on to high school on June 10 at 5 p.m.

Martin Murphy eighth and ninth graders will also end their middle school careers on June 10 on the athletic field, eight graders at 2:30 p.m. and ninth graders at 5 p.m.

Central High graduates will celebrate on June 10 as well, in the Community and Cultural Center at 6:30 p.m.

First, however, Community Adult School graduates will receive their diplomas tonight at 7 p.m. at El Toro Elementary.

Private schools in Morgan Hill will also be holding promotions ceremonies for their students.

Shadow Mountain Baptist held their celebration Sunday, with an awards ceremony last Friday.

St. Catherine School will be honoring its high-school bound eighth graders tonight at 6 p.m. at the school.

Oakwood Country School will be holding an awards assembly June 7 at 8:50 a.m., with a promotion ceremony June 9 at 5 p.m. in the gym.

Carden Academy’s graduates will be feted on June 10 at 7 p.m. at the school, with a kindergarten graduation to follow June 11 at 10 a.m.

Crossroads Christian School will celebrate its grads also on June 10 at 6 p.m. at the school.
