Gavilan College’s baseball program will feature both its future and its past in a pair of special events set for October.

On Friday, Oct. 8, the program’s future will be the focus at a Golf Tournament fundraiser at the Gilroy Golf Course. The tourney will include a noon shotgun start.

All alumni, players and supporters are invited to sign up for the event.

All proceeds benefit the Rams baseball program.

The following day, on Saturday, Oct. 9, the Gavilan baseball program’s past will be highlighted at an Alumni Baseball Game set for the “Home of the Rams,” the Gavilan College baseball field.

The game is scheduled for a noon first pitch and Gavilan baseball coach Neal Andrade said longtime Coach Bob Nickerson’s jersey will be retired at the game.

All former Gavilan baseball players are invited to play, and all program backers are encouraged to attend.
