Garlicky aroma wafts into space, lures extra terrestrials

Dear Red Phone,
“It’s Tuesday, June 25 and I was outside on my friend’s balcony on Ferrell at the Sobrato Apartments and we noticed a black object flying in the air and it had lights on it. It was about 6:30 p.m. I was wondering if anyone else saw it and if you guys can tell me what it was. I don’t think it was a blimp.”

Red Phone checked with the Gilroy Police Department and apparently nobody else reported this, but since it’s been so hot we’ve all been seeing strange things – especially if the air conditioning isn’t working. We suspect it was a large fan decorated with Christmas lights that an angry homeowner and rocket scientist blasted into space for understandable reasons. Either that, or the extra terrestrials are gathering data on the results of their heat wave experiment.
