It’s Teen Trivia Night
– From pop culture to modern science, Trivia Night covers all bases using quick thinking and knowledge. Test your thinking skills with a night of trivia, from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Centennial Recreation Center, 171 W. Edmundson Ave. The night is for those 12 to 18 and is free.

Free flu shots
– Flu shots are provide at Saint Louise Regional Hospital from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday. Please schedule an appointment at the Morgan Hill Senior Center in advance.
Tarantula Festival and Barbecue
– Henry W. Coe State Park will be holding its annual Tarantula Fest and Barbecue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, 9100 E. Dunne Ave. There will be live music, as well as a raffle and silent auction to benefit the park. Activities include nature walks, displays and talks about tarantulas, snakes and other park wildlife, children’s activities and crafts, a fire engine to check out, a fascinating perspective on how the park is recovering from the 2008 fire, and information about park closures and the prospects for keeping the park open long term.
The cost is $6.25 to $17 depending on meal choice, along with $8 to park, ($7 for seniors 62 and older)

Coffee with the Mayor and Mike
– The next “Coffee with the Mayor” will include a special guest, Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman. It will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at BookSmart, 80 E. Second St. As usual, the Mayor will buy the coffee and both Tate and Wasserman will listen to questions, suggestions, criticism or even praise.
AAUW celebrates the right to vote
– The American Association of University Women will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Woman Suffrage in California with Barbara Babcock, Stanford University Law Professor and author of “WOMAN LAWYER, The Trials of Clara Foltz,” at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Oakwood School, 105 John Wilson Way, Morgan Hill. A dessert buffet will be served.
Flower lovers meet
– The Morgan Hill flowers lover’s Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.
