Families with children under the age of 5 are encouraged to visit First 5 California’s free “Hands-On Health” exhibit, Sunday, Oct. 8, 11am – 6pm, at the Mariachi Festival at History Park on Senter Road in San Jose.

The exhibit will feature games, storytelling, music and many more learning activities to increase awareness about the crucial importance of children’s healthy development.

First 5 California’s “Hands-On Health” van is touring the state to educate children and families about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Research shows that a child’s brain develops most dramatically in the first five years and what parents and caregivers do during these years to support their child’s growth and healthy development will have a lasting impact in the years to come.
