A house fire damaged some walls and resulted in smoke damage in the Holiday Lake area last night, police said.
The fire on the 17700 block of Raccoon Court was reported about 7:20 p.m., according to Morgan Hill Police Sgt. Jerry Neumayer. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire shortly after they arrived.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, Neumayer said. The fire was reported by a neighbor.
Police think the fire started in the garage, and the cause was likely electrical but is still under investigation, Neumayer said.
Damage to the home included fire damage to a wall of the garage and smoke damage throughout the home, Neumayer said.
More details will follow later today.
