Morgan Hill – No one was arrested early Saturday morning after a large fight at the Strikes Lounge at the Morgan Hill Bowl in Tennant Station shopping center, according to Morgan Hill police Cmdr. David Swing.
The incident, which began shortly before 2am, is still under investigation, he said Monday, and officers are attempting to determine who are potential suspects in the incident.
One person was taken to Saint Louise Regional Hospital. Swing said Monday he had no report on the condition or the nature of the injuries, but he did know the person was treated and released from the hospital.
As many as 20 people may have been involved in the fight, Swing added, but said the full report is not yet complete.
The early-morning fight is not a typical event for the lounge, formerly Betsy’s Lounge, he said. The lounge reopened as Strikes when the Morgan Hill Bowl opened in October.
“We do more self-initiated patrol checks than we do calls for service,” said Swing. “It does get some special attention just because of the number of people, but we haven’t had a lot of problems there.”
Police were called to the area a few times since the beginning of the year: once for a purse that was stolen by someone at the bar, once for a civil issue and another time when a vehicle that was left with the keys inside was stolen from the parking lot.
A message left for a co-owner of the Morgan Hill Bowl and Strikes was not returned by presstime.
