Burnett Elementary Looking for Alumni
Burnett Elementary School is looking alumni to celebrate its 150th birthday with an open house on May 18, from 6:30-8pm. Principal Barbara Neal would like to hear from alumni or former staffers before the event so they can be invited.
Neal said the school would also like pictures from the past to create a photo gallery for the open house plus a permanent photo album to keep at the school. The pictures will be scanned and returned to their owners.

Poppy Jasper Film Festival Scholarship
Graduating high school seniors who are enrolled in the Morgan Hill Unified School District or are Morgan Hill residents may apply for a $1,000 college scholarship provided by the Poppy Jasper Film Festival Scholarship Committee. The scholarship is intended for students planning to study film or the arts in college.
Morgan Hill Unified School District students can apply through normal scholarship channels at their high school or the application can be downloaded at www.poppyjasperfilmfest.org.
The deadline to apply is April 15, and the scholarship winner will be announced in May.

Mt. Madonna YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day
Healthy Kids Day, a national YMCA event that mirrors a focus by local schools on living healthy lives, will be hosted by Mt. Madonna YMCA on April 8 from 10am – 2pm, 17666 Crest Ave. in Morgan Hill. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is free to the public and is designed to promote activity and family time.
