Morgan Hill residents Kevin and Gloria Murray received an all-expense paid trip to the Super Bowl courtesy of a nationwide contest sponsored by Ace Hardware of more than 50,000 entries.

The Murrays were presented their tickets by John Madden the Thursday before the game and had the opportunity to tour the famous Madden Cruiser.

“It was very comfortable and functional,” Kevin said. “It was like an RV. It had very plush couches.”

Kevin and his brother-in-law watched the game from the 10-yard line high up in Jack Murphy Stadium, while his wife watched the game with their 21-month old daughter and some relatives.

“It was pretty cool and it was nice to go and be a part of the whole thing,” Kevin said. “John Madden was very nice. We were sitting right in the middle of the Raider section, so it was fun to be a part of. They were pretty animated. The game didn’t turn out the way we wanted so the atmosphere started to change quick. They were enthusiast but did not get rowdy.”
