John Ellis scored a 74 in his second round of play at the AT&T Pro-Am, playing on the Pebble Beach Course. He had bogeys on three straight holes – 8, 9, 10. He had his lone birdie on hole 18.
Ellis had a 67 after his first round on Poppy Hills and is at 1-under, 141. There are currently 25 golfers tied at 1-under and 60 golfers above that. After Saturday’s round, the top 60 qualify for the championship round on Sunday.
Ellis is scheduled to tee off at 8:50 a.m. Saturday on Spyglass.
The leader is Retief Goosen, who has never played in the tournament before, at 12-under, 132.
