Andres Bueno had a single and Casey Dawes had a double to lead the A’s early rally.
The Giants answered right back with five runs in the bottom of the first. Noah Clarke, Lucas Cook, Mike Dukes and Jerrod Cerniglia all had singles, and Mike Lemmon and Jordan Santiago hit doubles.
The A’s got a run back in the third inning after Matt Jarvis singled and scored on a hit by Westin Herscovitch. And in the fifth inning, they took the lead by scoring three runs after doubles by Nelson Pyle and Bueno and a single by Matt Jarvis.
The Giants scored two in the fifth on doubles by Mike Zemmon and Jordan Santiago followed by a single by Lucas Cook.
The A’s added an insurance run in the sixth after Lorenzo Aguayo, who reached on a walk, scored.
