Police will conduct a DUI checkpoint Wednesday night on Tennant Avenue near Butterfield Boulevard.

Morgan Hill Police, assisted by other local law enforcement agencies, will check both eastbound and westbound traffic for suspected impaired drivers, according to Morgan Hill Sgt. Troy Hoefling. The checkpoint will start at 9 p.m. Wednesday and end at 2 a.m. Thursday.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, Gilroy Police, and the California Highway Patrol will also participate in the DUI checkpoint.

The checkpoint is part of the annual “Avoid the 13” enhanced DUI enforcement campaign, funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
