Sheriff’s deputies Saturday night arrested at county woman after she fled in a vehicle from authorities into an orchard and and crashed into a light pole, according to announcement from the sheriff’s office.

At about 10:40 p.m. Saturday, San Benito County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 200 block of Enterprise Road for a reported physical fight between a male and female.

According to the announcement, before deputies arrived dispatchers told them the woman had driven her green Chevy Trailblazer into the residence where she and the male had been fighting. She was gone when they arrived.

A deputy saw the vehicle driving in the orchard just north of 213 Enterprise Road. As the deputy pulled behind the vehicle, the suspect fled through the orchard and eventually onto southbound Highway 25.

The suspect vehicle continued southbound and made a right turn onto westbound Enterprise Road, continuing onto Enterprise Road with speeds up to 80 mph and failing to stop for the marked sheriff’s car with its red and blue overhead lights on.

The statement goes on: As the suspect vehicle approached the intersection of Enterprise Road and Southside Road the suspect vehicle failed to stop at the posted stop sign and continued through the intersection colliding into a power pole.  As the power pole lay on top of the suspect vehicle, suspect Vianey Crizantos opened the driver side door and fell onto the ground passing out.  The Sheriff’s Deputy then crawled on his hands and knees to Crizantos to avoid the down power lines and pulled her to safety. Crizantos was later flown by Calstar to a Bay Area Hospital. No one was injured in the residence where Crizantos drove her car into.
