Gilroy.
Dorothy Elsa Hermann died Dec. 24, 2004, at her family home in Gilroy.

Mrs. Hermann, born and raised in Seattle, Wash., moved to California in 1947. She was co-founder of National Fiberglass Corp. based in Gilroy. Other business ventures include The Cutting Horse Restaurant in San Juan Bautista, where she was co-owner for 17 years.

She is survived by her children Lehanna R. Boyd of Gilroy, John Hermann of Hillsboro, Oregon, Deborah Lekberg of Mechanicsberg, Penn. and Dorian Mackay of Placerville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her beloved pets.

The family will have private services.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the local SPCA.

Arrangements were under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
