On Saturday, April 18 The Morgan Hill Dog Owners Group, known as MHDOG, held an anniversary party celebrating the second year since the opening of the Morgan Hill Dog Park. The party was attended by an enthusiastic group of dog owners who regularly attend the park with their dogs. The dogs gave a vigorous “tail wag and paws up” for the park.

MHDOG T-shirts and sweat shirts were available for purchase as well as a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. City Councilwoman Marilyn Librers praised MHDOG for their diligence in making it possible for the dog park to be built. She assured the group that she is supportive of their efforts to maintain the quality of the park and is proud that the city has such a fine recreational facility.

MHDOG chairperson, Linda Cunningham, outlined some of the next events the group is sponsoring – Yap Walks through downtown May 14 and June 16 and Hikes with Dogs May 2 and June 6. She also thanked these local businesses for their donation of raffle prizes: BookSmart, Le Pooch Grooming, Main Street Bagels, Mitra’s Bakery, Starbucks, Petco, Make It Mine, Marie Callenders, South Valley National Bank and Summerwind Nursery in San Jose.
