149006~Parent very happy with Sobrato, staff and
athletics—Dear Editor, As a parent of a student at Sobrato High
School who plays football I have to tell you that we are very happy
with our team. My son played for Live Oak and for Sobrato.

Having been your son’s head freshmen football coach at LO, I am a little dismayed at your implication that we were not teaching your child to play as a team at LO. Coach Elliot and the other coaches stressed team-first attitudes, yet you failed to mention this in your article. I understand that you want to support and “defend” your son’s school, but don’t do it at the expense of his past teammates and coaches. I will cherish the time I had with your son and the other kids on the team. Do not tarnish great memories, because that’s all we have when its all said and done.
