San Martin Winery Wins Award Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin
has been named one of the best wineries in northern California by
viewers of NBC 11. In a poll conducted by the San Jose television
station, Clos LaChance was named
“Best Winery to Take Out-of- Town Guests.” It was a finalist in
the category of “Best Winery for a Wedding/Reception,” and its
Bocce ball court was nominated for “Best Winery Activity.”

“Locals tend to bring their out-of-town visitors to only the very best places an area has to offer,” said Clos LAChance CEO Bill Murphy. “We are honored that [NBC] viewers would choose Clos LaChance Winery as such a place. However, we hope our customers don’t save Clos LaChance just for special occasions.”
Hairstylists Pass with Flying Colors
Cherisse White, artistic director and owner of Cherisse’s Hair Salon & Day Spa, has been awarded certification as a National Premier Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems, while Gretchen Threadgill, a hair stylist at Cherisse’s, received certification as a National Educator.
Having passed Paul Mitchell’s rigorous Color Educator Programs, the advanced certifications allow White and Threadgill to teach hair color classes and techniques to stylists across the country, and address challenging hair color issues for both patrons and stylists. White, who has been affiliated with John Paul Mitchell Systems for over 18 years, opened her Paul Mitchell Signature Salon in Morgan Hill in September of 2003.
