Patriot Club Collecting Donations for Troops in the middle east

The Live Oak Patriot Club is kicking off the new school year with a collection for the troops. The donations collected by the club will be sent to the Middle East with the help of Operation Interdependence. Anything you can give would be appreciated. A very important part of the packages will be handwritten notes from the community to show support, so please take the time to write a note.

Sealed items and letters may be dropped off at BookSmart downtown or at the Live Oak main office until Friday, Oct. 14. Contact Amanda Rosenberg at ro********@ch*****.net and Kelly Cook at my*****@ya***.com. The Patriot Club is run by students and advisor Paula Haaser at Live Oak High School. Its goal is to support our troops and the community. They would appreciate any money donations from people or businesses in the community and will also be buying items with fundraising money from last year.
