The success of your swing starts with the grip. There are two major areas that all good players do in regards to gripping the club.
First, grip the club in your fingers and not in your palm. Gripping a club in the palm is like grabbing a baseball in the palm and trying to throw it — get the picture? When you have your club in the fingers, you have much better feel and can initiate far more club head speed!
The second grip tip is to turn your left hand to the right slightly, so when you look over the bridge of your wrist, you should see the first two knuckles of your left hand. This ensures that your left hand is in a relatively strong position, and you will be able to release the club through impact.
Remember the two checkpoints: grip the club in the finger joints of both hands and see two knuckles of the left.
