A wildfire in Tres Pinos that started late Friday morning burned about 300 acres as of mid-afternoon.

The fire was reported shortly before noon at an area near Highway 25 and Horizon Road, according to Calfire. It was about 60 percent contained as of 2:45 p.m.

A Calfire spokesman could not be reached immediately for additional details.
