environment, Santa Clara County has been making changes to
establish a comprehensive, green program to protect the
environment.
San Jose – In an effort to showcase the negative impacts to our environment, Santa Clara County has been making changes to establish a comprehensive, green program to protect the environment.

Since 2001, the county has completed more than 500 energy conservation projects designed to reduce the county’s gross power consumptiom. These projects include installation of 6,800 task lighting motion sensors, 1,459 room lighting motion sensors, 716 lighting fixtures with energy efficient fluorescent lamps, 23 cool-roof systems, 69 power meters, and automatic tube brush cleaning systems for chillers.
