The Santa Clara County Office of Education will host the Charter School Summit 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 30 at its offices at 1290 Ridder Park Drive in San Jose. Registration is $40.
Ruslynn H. Ali, the assistant secretary of civil rights with the U.S. Department of Education, will provide the keynote address. The summit will provide a forum for participants to examine issues related to the emerging growth of charter schools in the county and highlight exemplary teaching and learning practices in charter and traditional schools.
