Rico and Beca Stover will perform Classical Latin American music, he on guitar, she as vocalist, for their South Valley audience on Saturday, Jan. 24, 7 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community Center, 17000 Monterey Road.

Rico Stover has attained world wide recognition as a guitarist, editor, author, composer and musicologist. He regularly performs at guitar festivals around the world. A graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, Rico is a Fulbright scholar who has lived in Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Mexico, Paraguay and Puerto Rico. He has published many books and CDs and is a recognized authority on the guitar music of Latin America and the music of Agustín Barrios Mangoré.

Rebecca Stover began singing at the age of five under the guidance of her mother, a classical voice instructor. Rebecca majored in music in college but was drawn to the dramatic arts department where she used her vocal ability and pursued acting as well as the study of the technical aspects of theater arts (lighting, audio engineering, makeup and costume design). She has many professional credits over the years as a costume designer for films, theater and television. Following a natural inclination to harmonize with her husband, her singing adds to their performance another level of artistic expression. Rebecca and Rico Stover are also the proud parents of two grown children who reside in California.

Tickets will be $10 at the door. For advanced tickets call 371-3261.
