Election Officers Needed
The Santa Clara County registrar of voters is looking for civic-minded volunteers to serve at the polls on Election Day. Becoming a volunteer election officer is a great opportunity for voters to serve their communities and contribute to the Democratic process. Election officers are paid a stipend of $85 or more. Volunteers are needed at polling places throughout the county. Anyone who is registered to vote in California can be an election officer.
Convertibles Needed for Parade
Live Oak High School is looking for rides for homecoming royalty during the parade on Oct. 20. Live Oak's Associated Student Body Director Norm Dow said more convertibles are needed for the homecoming court beginning at 2:15pm until about 4:15pm.
