Morgan Hill – The Learning and Loving Education Center’s April 21 Wine Tour, Silent Auction and Dinner raised money for the women’s literacy center, according to Sister Pat Davis, director of the center.
This was the first time the center hosted the event, though many years ago, several afternoon teas raised funds for the center.
This year’s event, which started and ended at the Golden Oak Restaurant, raised more than $18,000. Four local wineries – Guglielmo, Pedrizzetti, Sycamore Creek and Fortino – were a part of the tour.
She said the center and the many families it serves are grateful for the community’s support in making the event a success. Nearly 100 individuals, families and businesses were donors, in-kind service providers and sponsors of the event.
