Cheer tryouts
Coyote Valley Cheer in Morgan Hill will be holding tryouts for the 2003-2004 competitive season.
An informational meeting will be held Friday, April 25 at 6 pm to discuss team participation and answer any questions. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, April 26 @ 2 p.m. (8th grade and

Soccer registration
Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League is now accepting applications for their Class IV spring soccer season, which will begin April 5 and end May 17.
Boys and girls ages 5-14 (birth dates Aug. 1, 1988 to July 31, 1997) are eligible to participate. Applications can be downloaded from ovysl.org or picked up at 15400 Vineyard Road, #428 or at 16815 Gallop Drive in Morgan Hill.

Youth basketball
This Saturday the South County Basketball Academy will conduct the team building jamboree. Please check the website for times and location. There are limited amount of space available in some division. No walkup registration.Players can still enroll by applying before Friday night, March 21 or by calling 408.460-7402. Softball tournament
The Banditos softball team will be hosting an Early Bird Softball Tournament in Morgan Hill at Community Park on April 5 and 6. Registration fee is $175 per team or $160 before April 1. Bicycle tour
The 26th Annual Tierra Bella Bicycle Tour is Saturday, April 5 at Gavilan College, 7 to 9 a.m. The routes are 60K, 100K, 100K or 200K. Register at [email protected]. The fee is $30 by March 22. It features great food and routes. Volunteers welcome to help. Call 446-2199 for more information.
Dinner honoring pony baseball president
A special dinner dance and roast will be held honoring Roy Jackson as he retires his position as president of Morgan Hill Pony Baseball. The cost is $60 person and can be purchased via newspaper (mail in only), Las Palmas Restaurant (Vineyard Town Center) or by calling Kim Montarbo (408)779-7350.
Tables of eight may be reserved at the time of ticket purchase for $25. Donations are also being accepted for a unique gift for Jackson.
Twilight golf
Coyote Creek Golf Course is opening registration for its upcoming twilight league – which begins April 23 and runs through August.
The sponsor fee is $200 per team and only the first seven teams will be accepted.
The team format is four players each night go head-to-head with match play rules. There will be a running cumulative point total through the year with a playoff at the end. Details: Coyote Creek Head Pro Steve Janisch at 462-1400.
Youth volleyball signups
The United States Youth Volleyball League is taking sign-ups for its Spring 2003 season. The eight-week program will begin April 10 at Galvan Park in Morgan Hill.
