Charles I. Naughton, a resident of Morgan Hill, died Friday,
June 13, 2003, in San Jose. He was born in San Francisco on July
31, 1914.
Charles I. Naughton, a resident of Morgan Hill, died Friday, June 13, 2003, in San Jose. He was born in San Francisco on July 31, 1914.

He attended St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco and the University of San Francisco. He served in the Merchant Marines prior to joining the San Francisco Police Department in 1940. He retired as inspector in 1964. He worked for the Bank of California until 1971. In 1989, he moved to Truckee and then to Morgan Hill in 1994. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and the San Francisco Police Department.

He is survived by his children Dan (Kathy) Naughton, Mike (Barbara) Naughton, Kevin Naughton, Donna LeNove and Mary (Greg) Stamback; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie.

Funeral Mass was this morning, June 17, at St. Catherine Church. Interment was at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa.

Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
