Oroville.
Gymnasts from Champions Academy Gymnastics in Morgan Hill continued to shine at the recent State Championships in Oroville.
Alexandra Evans and Amanda Lie dominated the senior Level 9 division with flawless routines. Evans took second on vault, second on beam, second all-around and was the state champion on the floor exercise with a score of 9.55.
Amanda Lie joined her on the podium, taking third in vault, second on bars, third on floor exercise and third all-around.
In the junior division, Emma Craig nailed her beam routine with a score of 9.375 and earned a second-place finish. Craig also took fifth all-around in the state.
The team will compete in the regional championships in Utah in two weeks.
