Finals at Independence High on Friday.
With its largest contingent ever, the Live Oak High wrestling team will begin competing at the Central Coast Section Wrestling Finals at Independence High on Friday.

Live Oak will be sending a total of nine wrestlers to the section finals, a school record.

Early-round matches will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m., with the consolation and championship rounds scheduled for Saturday.

Acorn wrestlers slated to compete in the CCS finals include: 112-pounder Hondo Dominguez, 119-pounder Jason Hendersen, 145-pounder Richard Houssein, 152-pounder Pat Courtney, 160-pounder Daniel Wahl, 171-pounder Jonathan Redmond, 189-pounder Gabe Sedberry, 215-pounder Mike Horner, and Heavyweight Mike Gamez.
