A white SUV rear-ended a silver Toyota Corolla on southbound U.S. 101 between Metcalf Road and Bailey Avenue around 5:20 p.m. today. The two people in the Corolla called CHP to report a hit and run and exited onto Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill in front of the Chevron station. Because the white SUV followed the Corolla, a CHP officer said that no hit-and-run charges will be filed at this time.

Both the driver and passenger of the Corolla complained of back and neck pains and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
