Helping accomplish the ultimate goal of $250,000 to aid local schools

Capitol Honda, located on the Capitol Expressway Auto Mall in San Jose, donated $1,500 to Jackson Elementary School in Morgan Hill as part of the on-going United Auto for Kids public school donation program. The check presentation was held at Jackson Elementary School on Nov. 17.
Capitol Honda is a part of The Northern California UnitedAuto Group which also features Sunnyvale Acura, Los Gatos Acura, Honda North, and Marin Honda.
The Northern California United Auto Group developed this program to ease the strains of local school systems, which have experienced severe budget shortfalls this year. Every time someone buys a new or pre-owned vehicle from one of these five UAG dealerships, they will make a donation to public schools in Northern California. The goal is to raise over a quarter of a million dollars for Bay Area schools to fund classrooms, school programs and/or teacher needs. The customer determines which school they want the donation sent to from a list of districts.
UnitedAuto Group recognizes the strains that the local schools are experiencing and as members of the community, they wish to do their part. They do not sell the cars for more money. The donations come directly from them, not the customer.
