– Community Solutions is hosting a viewing of the documentary “Bullied” in coordination with Network for a Hate Free Community of Santa Clara County and the Billy De Frank LGBT Community Center’s Youth Outreach team.

The screening takes place at Community Solutions, 6980 Chestnut St., Gilroy (next to the DMV) from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments, a discussion group, and an art activity will be provided. This event is free to the public and all ages are welcome.

Take home a new best friend

– South County Animal Shelter will hold a dog adoption day to help shelter dogs find new homes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at BookSmart, 80 E. Wine, food benefits future farmers

– The Morgan Hill Ag Booster Foundation 2011 Spring Auction raises money for the Live Oak and Sobrato Future Farmer of America programs. This year’s event takes place at 4 p.m. April 30, at Guglielmo Winery, 1480 E. Main St. There will be wine, food and a live and silent auction. Tickets are available now or at the gate, and includes wine, food and a donation drawing.

Wine stroll coming to downtown

– The first Wine Stroll of the year is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday April 30. Tickets are $25 each. See www.morganhilldowntown.org for a list of participating businesses and wineries, then get ticket at those businesses. The event usually sells out and tickets are limited.

Recycle and help Japan recover

– Bring old and unused electronics and ewaste to the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 30 and help those in Japan following last month’s earthquake and tsunami.

For those who cannot make it, donations are welcome and can be made out to either “Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund” or to “Hongwangi Earthquake Relief Fund” and sent to Dr. Jon Hatakeyama, 370 W. Dunne Ave. Ste. #3.

Keep teens safe, sober on grad night

– For 23 years Live Oak seniors have had an organized safe and sober alternative on graduation night thanks to a nonprofit group that organizes LOHS Grad Night each year. Again this year board members of the Live Oak Safe and Sober Grad Night are asking for the community’s help.

They are requesting monetary contributions or other donations or gifts. Donations are tax-deductible and gifts donated will be used at fundraising events and monetary contributions go directly to the event.

The Safe and Sober Grad Night is endorsed by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the local police and fire departments.
