Quality of Life Urban Tour
– Greenbelt Alliance and the Committee for Green Foothills will hold a Quality of Life Urban Tour from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, in downtown Morgan Hill. The tour will start at the Morgan Hill Community Garden, located off of Butterfield Avenue, in between the Courthouse and the VTA parking lot.
Tour stops include Llagas Creek, the Third Street Promenade, Depot Commons and the Granary. A complimentary lunch will be provided. The event is free. RSVP by Wednesday.

Take home a new best friend
– South County Animal Shelter will hold a dog adoption day to help shelter dogs find new homes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, at BookSmart, 80 E. Second St. There will be guidance and counseling to answer questions and any concerns in regards to adopting a shelter dog. Not interested in adopting? Come visit and learn other ways to help.

Wine, food benefits future farmers
– The Morgan Hill Ag Booster Foundation 2011 Spring Auction raises money for the Live Oak and Sobrato Future Farmer of America programs. This year’s event takes place at 4 p.m. April 30, at Guglielmo Winery, 1480 E. Main St. There will be wine, food and a live and silent auction. Tickets are available now or at the gate, and includes wine, food and a donation drawing.

Wine stroll coming
– The first Wine Stroll of the year is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday April 30. Tickets are $25 each. See www.morganhilldowntown.org for a list of participating businesses and wineries, then get tickets at those businesses. The event usually sells out and tickets are limited.
