Science Alive
Sixth-through-eighth grade students are invited to participate in a day of hands-on workshops that make science fun, 8am-3pm, at the Gavilan College Student Center, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., Gilroy. This year’s keynote speaker is astronaut Marsha Ivins from the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. A $10 fee includes a workshop, lunch and snacks. There are a limited number of need-based scholarships available. Students must register in advance.
