With the spring sports season officially over, the Blossom Valley Athletic League announced its list of All League recipients for baseball, softball and volleyball.
Both Live Oak and Sobrato came away with handfuls of honors for a season that saw four of six teams advance to the CCS playoffs and all four advancing out of the first round.
This includes Live Oak baseball which advanced to the semis in the Division II playoffs.

Baseball

For Live Oak, Kyle Riveron led the way with individual honors earning Senior of the Year for his prowess with a bat and on the hill.
The Acorns went 18-12 overall and won the Santa Teresa Division with an 11-3 record.
Riveron batted .424 with 40 runs scored on 42 hits and 19 driven in.
He also boasted a 1.75 ERA in his relief appearances with three saves.
Earning First Team honors in the Santa Teresa Division were PJ Rochon, DJ Washington and Chris Knopf.
Rochon batted .392 with 29 RBIs with 31 hits. Washington followed with a .341 average and 25 RBIs on 28 hits. Knopf was a stud on the hill with a 2.03 ERA and a 6-1 record.
Rounding out the awards was CJ Aichele and Alex Cornejo on the Second Team list.
For Sobrato, pitching phenom Brian Martin was the lone member of the All League team, earning First Team honors for his year as a pitcher which included two no hitters.
He went 5-4 overall with a 3.00 ERA.

Softball

Both softball teams had stellar seasons and both advanced to the quarterfinals of the CCS Division II playoffs.
Leading the way for the accolades was Sobrato’s Lexi Parish who was named Freshman of the Year for the Mt. Hamilton Division.. She led the team with a .500 average, collecting 53 hits, 25 RBIs and scored 35 runs. In the circle, she boasted a 7-1 record and a 2.20 ERA.
Fellow pitcher Megan Perron earned First Team All Mt. Hamilton Division Honors with a .478 average and a 3.51 ERA in the circle. Rounding out the list was Ally Nodohara who earned Second Team honors.
For Live Oak, Maddie Gallagher earned First Team honors. She had a .468 batting average with 29 batted in and 14 runs. In the circle, she had a 3.11 ERA with an 8-4 overall record.Rounding out the All League mentions were Kelli St. Clair and Kaylie Bryant who received Second Team All League mentions.

Volleyball

In volleyball, Sobrato came away with a lion’s share of awards, led by Co-Senior of the Year Peyton Raab.
Raab was the setter on the team who quietly led the Bulldogs to a second round CCS appearance.
Joining him were Jason Rhoads, Mirko Macura and Zach Morris on the First Team All Mt. Hamilton Division list.
On the Second Team  were Alex Cabrera and Rhys Dimla
For Live Oak, the lone entry was Roger Keller.
