History: Collision on Wheels is a locally owned franchise for mobile auto body repair. Collision on Wheels is considered the No. 1 mobile provider for on-site light collision vehicle repair with more than 50 franchisees operating throughout the country. Richard Diehl and Marian Tankersley opened the business in June 2007 and have three vans covering the South Bay from Mountain View to the Monterey Bay.
Services: Collision on Wheels offers light collision repair, bumper reconditioning or replacement, with body work and paint. It also replaces vehicle body parts as necessary and brings the car back to factory show room condition using OEM paints. Services are provided under a blow-up enclosure to eliminate overspray or debris on the paint. Most jobs are reportedly completed within one day at the customer’s home or office.
Philosophy: Diehl and Tankersley worked in the semiconductor industry and work to meet the time demands of their customers. The company brings the auto body shop service to the customer’s home or office and complete the repairs in the same day. The business stresses their service eliminates the need for vehicle owners to take time off work, rent a car and have the car in the body shop for three days. The business also claims most repairs cost less than the insurance deductible.
