Leadership Group Hosts Turkey Trot
Morgan Hill – The Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Applied Materials will be hosting the third Silicon Valley Turkey Trot – Run or Walk for Health, Hope and a Home on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.
The 9am race (or walk) is a 5K or a 10K and starts and ends by the HP Pavilion in downtown San Jose, on and near the Guadalupe River Park Trail between Market Street and Almaden Boulevard near Plaza de Cesar Chavez. In just the first two years of the “Turkey Trot,” the Leadership Group has raised more than $364,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank, the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County and the Santa Clara County Family Health Foundation. Organizers this year expect 4,000 participants supported by 400 volunteers. “Early bird” registration is $25 until Oct. 15.
