Kyle Zentner won first place in the middle school division of the Pauchon Foundation Science Fair hosted at Oakwood School Jan. 31. He took home $100 for his project “Extracting Energy from Ocean Waves.” This is the second year in a row that a student from Britton Middle School has placed first. Jim Levis and George Flores, who are the instructors for Zentner’s eighth-grade class, have helped their students to demonstrate science proficiency exceeding the statewide average by six percent.
