Dear Editor,
We are very excited and proud of all our basketball teams this year. The Britton Bobcats have taken the game to a new level that future generations of players will have to live up to. All four basketball teams, inluding the girls seventh and eights graders, made it to the playoffs, the first time in our school’s history.
Our seventh grade girls made it all the way to the championship and lost the last game only because two key players transferred in midseason.
Our coaches, and especially Jim Green and Nancy Altman, have done a terrific job in building effective teams with high standards.
Moreover, we are also grateful to the parents and community who have been supportive of the students. It is encouraging to witness many of the Bobcats fans giving more money to get in to the games than the $1 admission fee we ask at the door.
