Long-time Gilroy resident and author Deanne Deaville will be facilitating a discussion titled, “Manage the Stress Before it Manages You” at Booksmart in Morgan Hill from 6:30pm to 7:30pm May 31.
Deaville will open with her story on how the daily stresses of life lead to a cancer diagnosis; and will continue with a Q&A session and book signing. Stress affects every aspect of our lives—from our mood and sense of well-being, to chronic health issues affecting every major system in the body, Deaville noted.
Her story was recently published in the book “Women Who Influence,” a compilation of inspirational stories. This book hit the #1 spot on Amazon in the U.S., in the category of Alternative Medicine; (reference), and in Canada in the Meditation category.
In response to the excitement and unexpected success of the book launch, Deaville said, “Stories like this are not written as an instruction manual, or like a self-help book; but simply for inspiration. Sharing stories gives us hope and can spark ideas when oftentimes life can feel so overwhelming.”
The discussion will be held May 31 at Booksmart, located at 1295 E. Dunne Avenue #120 in Morgan Hill.

Deaville is a certified nutritionist with a Bachelor’s in Health and Wellness, and is a Canfield Certified trainer in the Success Principles. She provides classes around the Bay Area and works one-on-one with select clients. She may be contacted at: [email protected].
