Many times, we receive calls from residents wondering why our
town seems so littered. While I can
’t explain why people litter, I do know that the city’s
resources aren’t adequate to keep the city entirely litter
free.

To help clean up the town, we’ve begun holding a City Beautification Day once a year.

So … what are you doing on the morning of April 26? Care to join us in making a difference? City Beautification Day is an opportunity for everyone in Morgan Hill to join in beautifying our town. We have an assortment of projects available from planting to trimming to picking up litter. This is really your chance to spend a morning joining with your friends and neighbors to improve Morgan Hill.

So come with a group or come by yourself … but by all means do come. Here are the particulars:

When: 8 a.m. Saturday, April 26

Where: City Hall, 17555 Peak Ave.

What to bring: Water and gloves

What to eat afterward: We’ll be having a celebratory barbecue Lunch at Community Park after the event

What to wear afterward: All participants will receive a free T-shirt to thank them for their efforts to beautify Morgan Hill.
