SEMIPRO FOOTBALL: Barnstormers survive clash of league’s top teams

As winners of the National Conference South Division, the
Barnstormers earned the No. 2 seed and advance to the Northern
California Football League playoffs as a result. Central Coast will
host the No. 3 Bay Area Buccaneers (8-2) on Saturday, May 30, at
the Garcia-Elder Sports Complex in Gilroy
GILROY — The Central Coast Barnstormers wrapped up its regular season with a 17-12 victory over the California Warriors of San Jose last Saturday, and improved to 9-1 overall on the year.

As winners of the National Conference South Division, the Barnstormers earned the No. 2 seed and advance to the Northern California Football League playoffs as a result.

Central Coast will host the No. 3 Bay Area Buccaneers (8-2) on Saturday, May 30, at the Garcia-Elder Sports Complex in Gilroy. The Bucs finished runner-up to the Pacifica Islanders (10-0) in the North Division.

Previously during Week 3, the Barnstormers defeated the Bucs 24-10 at home, a win that sparked Central Coast’s eight-game winning streak to close out the season.

Pacifica, meanwhile, earned the No. 1 seed and will host the Nor Cal Lawmen on May 30.

In the American Conference, the No. 1 Northbay Rattlers (9-1) will square off against the No. 4 Central Valley Rams (6-4), while the No. 2 River City Gators (7-3) will battle the No. 3 Marin Bulldogs (6-4).
