In response to Jay Walter’s recent letter to the editor regarding rental charges at the Community Center:
We are sorry that Mr. Walter’s friend thought that renting a room at the Community Center would be “$170.” In fact, the meeting rooms at the Community Center can be rented by a Morgan Hill community group for $30 per hour on weekdays. Even the largest room at the Community Center can be rented by a community group for $50 per hour (weekdays). The entire Morgan Hill Community Playhouse can be rented for $30 per hour (weekdays)!
In an effort to make the Community Center even more accessible to senior and youth, the city offers a special senior/youth rate of $1 per person to use one of the meeting rooms every Tuesday from 1-5pm for senior groups and every Thursday from 1-5pm for youth groups.
We welcome senior and youth groups at the Community Center and hope that all will take advantage of the opportunity to meet here; especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the cost to senior and youth groups is very reasonable.
