Red Phone: Dear B-I-N-G-O, Red Phone knows of several Bingo games in town. Free games for older adults takes place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday at the Centennial Recreation Senior Center at 171 W. Edmundson Ave., according to Susan Fent, director of senior programs and services. For more information call (408)782-2128 ext. 808.
The other is a fundraiser for the music programs in the Morgan Hill Unified School District. These games take place at 6 p.m. every Saturday (doors open at 4:30 p.m.) and at 1:30 p.m. every Sunday (doors open at noon) at the Britton Middle School auditorium. Prices vary from $20 for a two-pack to $41 for a five-pack.

Red Phone might be showing its age, but back in the day there were truant officers who would round up students cutting class, return them to school and call their parents. Not that Red Phone has any first-hand knowledge, mind you, And, more and more children are being homeschooled these days, so the children you speak of might be at “recess.”
