Aurora Rivera of Gilroy died Aug. 10, 2003. She was 73.
Aurora was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and had lived in Gilroy for the last 40 years. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was full of spirit and will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her sons John Guerrero of Gilroy, Martin and Sara Guerrero of Newman, Art Guerrero of Gilroy, Leo and Cynthia Guerrero of Gilroy; granchildren, Elizbeth and Henry Chavez of Newman, Jessica and Raul Lopez of Newman, Martin Jr. of Newman, Priscilla Guerrero of Newman, Veronica Guerrero of Newman, Michael Guerrero of Gilroy and Leo Guerrero of Gilroy; and six great-grandchildren of six.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, beginning with a visitation at 9 a.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering following the service at 1402 Mantelli Drive, Gilroy.
