Question of the week: “As a Morgan Hill resident, I am thankful for …?”
- Jeff Smith: I am thankful for my family, my faith, and my freedom.
- David Cohen: I’m thankful for the community, which gives of itself without hesitation to support a host of charitable endeavors that contribute to the social fabric of life.
- Lisa Pampuch: I’m thankful for the beautiful South County environment we enjoy and, as the rainy season gets under way, I’m looking forward to the greening of the hills during what feels to this former midwesterner more like spring than winter.
- Chris Bryant: For the good friends and business people in Morgan Hill and those that donate their time to making this town better.
- Julian Mancias: I am thankful for the many volunteers in our town that donate so many hours of their own time to make Morgan Hill a better place to live for everybody.Â
- Dave Appling: It was necessary for Director Petraeus to offer his resignation. It was not necessary for the president to accept it, unless there was spillover from his private life into his public duties. As far as we know, there wasn’t.
- Jeff Nunes: As a Morgan Hill resident, I am thankful for living in a place that is relatively safe, that has good schools, and that despite its problems has a friendly sense of community.  Â
- Dennis Kennedy: I am thankful for the wonderful community that we live in, for our abundant natural resources, creeks, trails, hills and valleys, for our growing cultural and ethnic diversity and for all of the folks that have worked to protect our great natural resources and the community we all have built.Â
- Bert Berson: The special friends I have made in Morgan Hill. Our voyages together have taken us from politics, the library and downtown to the countries of the world. Gracias a mis amigos.
- Karen Anderson: I am thankful that we have a woman on the City Council and am hoping that she will inspire more women to run.
- Kathy Sullivan: I am thankful for a beautiful new granddaughter, and that she will grow up in a community that values education and is willing to vote accordingly to support it. I am grateful for being entrusted to serve the children as a member of your elected school board for the past eight years. Mostly I am thankful of the wonderful children all around us.Â
- Dave Appling: I’m thankful to city government for its careful, prudent navigation through the shoal waters of municipal financing. I’m thankful for my caring St. Catherine’s parish. And for our town’s incredible volunteer efforts, e.g., the interdenominational Reach Out program for the hungry and the needy, and the amazing long, arduous search for Sierra LaMar.
