THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:

“Given the recent recalls, if you need a new vehicle, would you consider buying a Toyota?

” Yes: 8 No: 4

? “No. That’s easy. We are Ford fans. We like to think we are buying American.”

? Dave Appling: “Certainly. The two we’ve owned have been the most reliable and durable cars we’ve ever had. I’m fully confident that Toyota will heed this wakeup call and get back on track.”

? Bert Berson: “Yes. If they offer incentives and a Morgan Hill dealership.”

? Chris Bryant: “No, I’ve had problems with Toyota designs in the past leading to problems that could not be fixed.”

? David Cohen: “Sure. After the repairs, they’ll be the safest and most inspected vehicles on the road. But I would also look at other brands and check out their recall and maintenance ratings and histories as well.”

? Dennis Kennedy: “Yes! I have a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and I love it.”

? Julian Mancias: “Yes. I would imagine that the Toyota dealerships are eager to offer good deals to the consumer on their new cars.”

? Linda McNulty: “No, not since the Kelley Blue Book dropped $750 in one week. But yes I would next year once the glitches are worked out.”

? Henry Miller: “No. But then, I most probably would not have bought a Toyota before all of these troubles started.”

? Lisa Pampuch: “Yes. We’ve had three Toyotas and have been very pleased with the vehicles’ reliability, value, and the company’s excellent warranty service.”

? Emily Shem-Tov: “Yes, it looks like they’ve found and are fixing the problems. And it’s probably a good time to get a nice deal on one.”

? Jeff Smith: “Yes.”
